EER Regular Schedule

EE Robinson is the home of pickleball in Gwinnett. The first 4 courts in the county were built here in 2019, and the park remains the most popular spot in Gwinnett.

The most common question we get is "When is open play?", so the goal of this page is to clarify not only when we have organized/official "open play", but also, when can people play, in general.

Regular schedule

Open Play

The only true/organized/official Open Play at EE Robinson occurs M/W/F mornings and Tuesday evenings, as noted below. However, the community at EE Robinson is very welcoming!  Generally speaking, a player can show-up at the park and rotate in with other players.  But for official open play...

Tuesday, 6:00-9:00 pm - All 6 courts are reserved for open play on Tuesday evenings.  Courts 1-4 are for general open play. Court 5 can be used for beginners, if there are enough that prefer to play on a beginner court. Court 6 is a Challenge Court, where the winners can stay on the court until they have won 3x, and waiting players rotate in to "challenge" the prior winners.

We use a two-rack "paddle stacking" system.  Please click here to learn more about how that works.

Monday to Friday, 9:00-noon - Players are at EER on weekday mornings.  The courts are all reserved M/W/F mornings, but players are there every day.

League

Thursday, 6:00-9:00 pm - Gwinnett Pickleball Club runs a league on Thursday nights, with courts 4-6 reserved from 6-9 pm.  Courts 1-2 are open for general use, noted below.

General Availability

The courts are EER are available on a first come, first served basis.  Without a reservation, players can play for 90 minutes on a court. They are not obligated to let other players rotate in with them, though people usually do.  Reservations are available, though, and in that case the permit holder can do whatever they want with the courts during that time. There are several nice local players that pay to reserve a court, but then let other players rotate in. They basically do this to ensure there is open play, even at unoficial times.  I appreciat those peole so much. :)

Reservations
